According to a brief history, Luang Por Daeng was born in Bang Chak Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province. His father was named Mr. Paen and his mother was named Mrs. Num, surname On Saeng. He was born on Wednesday, the 2nd day of the waning moon of the 11th month, B.E. 2422. As a child, he helped his parents with farming and rice farming. He did not have the opportunity to study like children today. Until the age of 20, his parents wanted him to ordain as a monk, so they took him to stay with Ajahn Plian at Khao Bandai It Temple so that he could study and become a monk.
When Phra Phiksu Daeng was ordained, he strictly followed the Buddhist precepts and treated Ajahn Plian very well. Ajahn Plian therefore loved him more than other disciples. He also taught the subject of Vipassana and meditation, including the knowledge of Kriya magic, which was hidden and cherished. This made Phra Phiksu Daeng enjoy studying knowledge and knowledge until he forgot to disrobe. The longer the time passed, the more he realized the taste of the Dharma and did not think of disrobing at all. Therefore, he became the most senior monk who practiced well and correctly until the teacher changed the death. Phra Phiksu Daeng took on the role of the abbot of Khao Bandai It Temple instead, becoming “Luang Pho Daeng” since 1918 onwards. Even though he became an abbot who had many duties, he still practiced Dhamma and meditated in caves to seek his spiritual powers. His meditation was strong, his mind was calm and pure, to the point that it was said that he had divine ears and divine eyes. Luang Pho Daeng never boasted about his spiritual powers, but the sacred results of his magic numbers and his magic spells were clearly evident. There is a story that during 1934 to 1937, there was an animal epidemic. Cows and buffaloes were infected with Rinderpest. Which is foot-and-mouth disease that caused many deaths. There were no veterinarians, so they had to ask the government to come and give them injections. So the people went to see Luang Por to treat the animals. Luang Por Daeng blessed and wrote a sacred number on a cloth and gave it to the villagers who raised cattle and buffaloes to tie to the end of a stick and stick in their animal pens. It turned out that the animal pens that had Luang Por Daeng's sacred cloth did not die. Every house in the sub-district near Wat Khao Bandai It, when they heard about it, came to ask for Luang Por Daeng's sacred number every day. Until the World War, the Great East Asia War, broke out. Japanese soldiers came to Prachuap Khiri Khan. There was a battle with the Thai air force there. The people of Phetchaburi were shocked and invited each other to see Luang Por Daeng. He wrote a sacred number on the cloth and gave them out to protect themselves. Phetchaburi in 1944 was a serious war. Bombs were dropped every day, destroying the train station, bridges across the river, houses, and schools had to be closed. Civil servants could not go to work. All government offices were closed. And there was a sensational story that the houses of people who had sacred cloths or Luang Por Daeng's coins hanging No harm was done to Luang Por Daeng, so he became famous until the end of World War II. Luang Por’s reputation in terms of magic became more and more widespread. Luang Por Daeng’s sacredness was revealed again when the communist North Vietnamese broke out. Thailand had to send the Black Panther Battalion to help the Allies fight in Southern Vietnam. It turned out that the Thai soldiers who went to fight in Vietnam, those who had Luang Por Daeng’s amulets hanging around their necks, were not harmed by weapons, even though they were fighting hard. This made their fellow soldiers wonder what happened. The Thai soldiers answered that they had “Luang Por Daeng’s amulets.” He was a kind-hearted monk with great compassion and was always in a good mood. He did not like to scold or curse anyone, especially using vulgar words about parents. He forbade it. He said that everyone had parents. Scolding parents caused trouble. Even wearing an amulet would not protect them. Luang Por Daeng died of old age at the age of 96, in his 74th year of monkhood. Before he died, he once said to Phra Palat Boon Song Thammapalo, the deputy abbot of the temple at that time, “When I stop breathing, don’t cremate me.” Keep my body in the prayer hall and put one blessed coin in my mouth along with one piece of silver. I can take this and apply turmeric to my body to make it yellow like gold.” Phra Boon Song therefore agreed and did everything that Luang Pho wished. After Luang Pho Daeng passed away, a miraculous event occurred that proved Luang Pho Daeng’s miracles to a senior figure in Phetchaburi. Suddenly, he had a dream of an ancient well hidden under a large crabapple tree. When he dug, he really found the well. Luang Pho Daeng had said that this well was a “magical well” when he was still alive. While digging, he also found a “white Naga head” made of cement at the bottom of the well. When the villagers heard the news, they flocked to scoop up water to use, but they found a large snake curled up under the zinc that was used to cover the well’s mouth. The villagers who saw it said that the snake had a crest on its head. Since then, no villagers dared to go scoop water from this well again. Another strange thing is that A policeman who used to help at the temple had a dream about Luang Por Daeng. He scolded him, “Why didn’t you tell me what you were doing?” The policeman went to tell the current abbot, Phra Palat Boon Song. He didn’t believe him and ordered the relocation of the two old shrines at the foot of Khao Ban Dai It to improve the area. He refused to perform a ceremony to worship the local spirits because he didn’t believe in black magic. It turned out that in the evening, he started to have unusual symptoms. Suddenly, his neck started twisting and his whole body became stiff. He couldn’t move.

The villagers who came to visit him saw that his symptoms were serious so they helped take him to Paolo Hospital. But when they arrived at the hospital, his symptoms disappeared. After an X-ray and a detailed examination, nothing was found. While he was resting in the hospital, he unconsciously said to himself, “There’s something good. If you pass by, it’s not a well. Dig down and you’ll find something. If you have something good, why don’t you treat it?”

Later, after being discharged from the hospital, Phra Palat Boon Song had another dream. In the dream, he saw a man wearing a Khmer shawl come to him and tell him that he was the one who tied up Luang Por. Then he used his hands to iron Luang Por’s body.
